Community Involvement

  • All Pro Dads Day – Chris is a volunteer Regional Team Captain for Family First’s All Pro Dad breakfast program.  He has helped start All Pro Dad programs in 10 different schools, and currently leads the program at Lincolnton Middle School, where his daughter attends.  All Pro Dad is a monthly breakfast program designed to create special and meaningful conversations between students and their dads (or male role models).

  • Communities in Schools / Lunch Buddy Program – Chris volunteers each week to mentor middle school boys in the Communities in Schools program, helping them with homework, and talking about things that matter to them.  He also eats lunch every Friday with 5th grade students at Battleground Elementary School.  In 2013, Chris was named Lincoln County Schools Volunteer of the Year.

  • Lincoln County Public Education Foundation – Chris has served on the LCPEF Board for 7 years, has served as their President 2 of those years, and is currently Treasurer.  The Foundation provides technology and instructional resources to teachers and administrators, through annual grants.

  • Lincolnton-Lincoln County Chamber of Commerce – Chris has been involved with the Chamber since moving back to Lincolnton in 2002. He is a Past Chairman of the Board, serving on the Board for 9 years, and is currently Chairman of the Chamber’s Education Committee.  In 2016, Chris was named Lincoln County Man of the Year, at the Chamber’s Annual Banquet.

  • Youth Sports – Chris is passionate about making a positive impact on children and families in our community.  He directed the local Upward Sports Basketball Ministry for 9 years, and has enjoyed coaching both of his daughters teams. 

  • Christian Ministry of Lincoln County – became a Board Member in 2019.

  • Lincoln County Community Foundation – became a Board Member is 2018.
