Faith, family, and community are strong themes in Chris Rhyne’s personal life. These pillars anchor his work life with equal strength.
Chris, who is a graduate of The Citadel, started his Financial Planning Firm in 2002 after working in banking and human resources. He had a strong desire to move back to his hometown of Lincolnton, and open a financial services business. “I decided to get into financial services because it aligned well with my natural strengths,” he says. “I love to help others, and I truly want to make an impact on people’s lives.” For Chris, this was the career path that allowed him to lead and to give back in a meaningful way.
As a financial advisor, Chris works with individuals and businesses, providing comprehensive financial planning and addressing the many financial issues families and businesses face as their lives evolve. He initially built his practice working with teachers, who still constitute a significant portion of his clients. “My mom was a first grade teacher in Lincoln County schools for over 30 years,” he recalls, “…so that’s where I developed a heart for teaching and education.” Chris was named Volunteer of the Year for Lincoln County Schools in 2013.
Beyond his support for local education, Chris is actively involved in civic and community leadership roles. He has served as Chairman of the Lincolnton-Lincoln County Chamber of Commerce, Chairman of the Deacons for a local church, President of the Lincoln County Public Education Foundation, and serves on the Boards of Christian Ministries of Lincoln County, and Lincoln County Community Foundation. In addition, Chris was named Lincoln County’s 2016 Man of the Year.
Outside of work, Chris enjoys spending time with his own family and his steadfast partner, his wife Heather. Together, they partner with All Pro Dad, a program that helps fathers stay actively involved in their children’s lives. They have also led a Sunday school class and marriage retreats through their church.
Chris and Heather have two daughters. They reside in Lincolnton.

Family, relationships, and hospitality are profound passions of which Jessica Jordan’s personal and professional life are composed.
Jessica attended Liberty University where she studied English. Before working at Chris Rhyne Financial Management, Jessica worked as Gastonia’s Esquire Hotel restaurant manager where she gained invaluable experience in hospitality. In addition to restaurant and coffee shop experience, Jessica was employed at Ingle Builders in Lincolnton for five years, where she worked in client relations. Jessica also enjoys working as a freelance writer, a practice through which she can incorporate her English background.
Jessica decided to join the Chris Rhyne Financial Management team because her skill set is built around the job, as evidenced by her experience in the hospitality and client relations industry. “I want to use the skill set I have to help the business grow,” she says. Jessica also desired to work at a family-focused business, where she can learn how to handle money and how to apply the industry to other areas of her life. At Chris Rhyne Financial Management, Jessica works as a Client Service Associate. On a daily basis, she presides over such tasks as filing and completing important documents, registering clients, answering frequently asked questions, and, most importantly, pursuing client relationships. As a Client Service Associate, Jessica brings many assets to the table. Her experience in client relationships enables her to go above and beyond to make the client experience personal. By investigating their interests, Jessica helps clients establish a strong and intentional relationship with Chris Rhyne Financial Management.
Outside Chris Rhyne Financial Management, Jessica is actively involved in the local community. She attends St. Luke’s Epsicopal Church and has been involved in the Lincolnton Downtown Development Association and the Chamber of Commerce. Additionally, while Jessica worked at Esquire Hotel in Gastonia, she coordinated leftover hotel resources as donations to the Hesed House of Hope, a homeless shelter in Lincolnton.
Apart from work, Jessica relishes spending time with her husband, Sam, and their son. She enjoys walking in downtown Lincolnton as well as exploring her creative side by making candles and floral arrangements. Overall, Jessica loves to entertain, an aspect of her life that reinforces the hospitality she employs at Chris Rhyne Financial Management.
