Christopher A. Rhyne, CFP®

Faith, family, and community are strong themes in Chris Rhyne’s personal life. These pillars anchor his work life with equal strength.

Chris, who is a graduate of The Citadel, started his Financial Planning Firm in 2002 after working in banking and human resources.  He had a strong desire to move back to his hometown of Lincolnton, and open a financial services business. “I decided to get into financial services because it aligned well with my natural strengths,” he says. “I love to help others, and I truly want to make an impact on people’s lives.” For Chris, this was the career path that allowed him to lead and to give back in a meaningful way.

As a financial advisor, Chris works with individuals and businesses, providing comprehensive financial planning and addressing the many financial issues families and businesses face as their lives evolve. He initially built his practice working with teachers, who still constitute a significant portion of his clients. “My mom was a first grade teacher in Lincoln County schools for over 30 years,” he recalls,  “…so that’s where I developed a heart for teaching and education.” Chris was named Volunteer of the Year for Lincoln County Schools in 2013.

Beyond his support for local education, Chris is actively involved in civic and community leadership roles. He has served as Chairman of the Lincolnton-Lincoln County Chamber of Commerce, Chairman of the Deacons for a local church, President of the Lincoln County Public Education Foundation, and serves on the Boards of Christian Ministries of Lincoln County, and Lincoln County Community Foundation. In addition, Chris was named Lincoln County’s 2016 Man of the Year.

Outside of work, Chris enjoys spending time with his own family and his steadfast partner, his wife Heather. Together, they partner with All Pro Dad, a program that helps fathers stay actively involved in their children’s lives. They have also led a Sunday school class and marriage retreats through their church.

Chris and Heather have two daughters. They reside in Lincolnton.
